Masterclass® Kitchens, Designed Around You
A Masterclass Platinum Partner with decades of first-hand product knowledge
A Trusted Masterclass Kitchen Specialist
Choosing the right kitchen furniture matters, but what you do with it matters even more.
Howard Oliver Design is a Masterclass Kitchens specialist and Platinum Partner based in Sandhurst, serving homeowners across Berkshire, Hampshire and Surrey.
Olly spent 18 years working with Masterclass before founding Howard Oliver Design and has worked in the kitchen industry for more than 25 years.
That means you get much more than access to the Masterclass range. You get advice from someone who knows the product inside out and understands how to use its options to create a kitchen that works properly for your home.
Why Choose Howard Oliver for Your Masterclass Kitchen?
You can buy a Masterclass kitchen through different independent retailers. The difference is in the advice, design and service you receive alongside it.
Olly learnt his trade working with Masterclass for around 18 years, including as a design consultant in its former Camberley, Guildford and Esher showrooms.
He has seen the product develop over many years and understands the cabinetry, ranges, design possibilities and manufacturing process in considerable detail.
Today, that knowledge helps us look beyond simply filling a room with units.
We can help you explore what is possible, question ideas that may not work as well as expected and make better use of the options available within the Masterclass range.
Product knowledge built over decades
Olly's relationship with Masterclass goes back long before Howard Oliver Design.
He still knows people within the company and keeps closely up to date with changes to the product, new ideas and upcoming developments.
For you, that means knowledgeable advice from someone who understands both the kitchen you can see in front of you and the thinking behind it.
Personal, honest advice
As a family business, you'll deal with people who take the time to understand your home, how you use it and what you're hoping to achieve.
Our aim isn't to sell you a kitchen. It's to design the right one and look after the project properly. We'll tell you what we think will work, what may not and where your money is best spent.
Many customers come back to us later for bedrooms, boot rooms, utility rooms, media walls and other fitted interiors.
Why We Choose Masterclass Kitchens
We've worked with Masterclass for years because we know what goes into the product.
Its kitchens are manufactured in the UK, with a strong focus on build quality, reliable components and practical design.
Just as importantly, Masterclass continues to develop new ideas rather than relying on the same standard combinations year after year.
That gives us more freedom when we're designing.
Whether you're planning a contemporary handleless kitchen, a classic Shaker room or something that sits between the two, the range gives us plenty of ways to create a kitchen that feels individual without moving into fully bespoke furniture.
Made for design-led projects
Masterclass works particularly well for homeowners who care about how their kitchen functions as much as how it looks.
There's scope to think carefully about:
- Storage
- Internal organisation
- Feature colours
- Coordinating drawer interiors and accessories
- Open shelving
- Pantry and Space Tower storage
- Vela waste and recycling bins
- Cocktail cabinets
- Wine drawers
- Kitchen drawers and deep storage
- Utility and adjoining furniture
These are the details that can turn a good-looking kitchen into one that's genuinely easier to live with.
More Thoughtful Storage Behind Closed Doors
Some of the most useful parts of a new kitchen aren't immediately visible.
Masterclass offers a wide range of internal storage and design features, giving us more ways to make use of the space available rather than relying on rows of standard cupboards.
A tall Space Tower can put everyday food within easier reach.
Deep drawers can make pans and crockery simpler to organise.
Colour-coordinated interiors, shelves and accessories can carry the design through when cupboards and drawers are opened.
Then there are features such as cocktail cabinets, open shelving and wine drawers that can turn practical storage into part of the overall design.
We'll help you decide which ideas will genuinely improve your kitchen rather than adding features for the sake of it.
Particularly Good for Extensions and Forever Homes
Masterclass can work for kitchens of many shapes, sizes and styles, but it comes into its own when there is scope to really design the room.
If you're extending or renovating your home, speak to us before the building work gets too far.
We can work from architects' plans and start thinking about the kitchen layout early, including where services, lighting, appliances, storage and other details need to sit.
This can help the kitchen and new space work together rather than trying to fit the kitchen around decisions that have already been made.
For customers creating a long-term or forever home, it also gives us more opportunity to think carefully about how the room will work for years to come.
Real Masterclass Kitchens by Howard Oliver Design
The best way to see what's possible isn't in a brochure. It's in kitchens we've already designed for real homes.
Hardwick Beach House & Sea Salt
A beautiful Shaker kitchen showing how colour, layout and considered detailing can create a relaxed but highly practical family space.
Sutton Graphite & Mayfield Oak
A contemporary project combining handleless kitchen furniture with warm oak details and adjoining fitted storage.
Hawksmoor New Forest
A timeless kitchen and utility designed together so the practical spaces feel connected rather than treated as separate projects.
Hardwick Highland Stone & Oxford Blue
A stunning project showing how Masterclass furniture can be used beyond the kitchen to create a consistent feel through connected spaces.
From First Ideas to Finished Kitchen
A Masterclass kitchen gives us the building blocks. Our job is to turn them into a room that suits you.
Talk through your plans
We'll start with your home, what you want to change, how you use the kitchen and what's important to you.
If you're planning an extension or larger renovation, we can work from architects' plans at an early stage.
Explore the options
At our Sandhurst showroom, we'll show you relevant door styles, colours, cabinetry, internal storage, worktops, appliances and other details.
Rather than presenting every possible option, we'll help narrow things down around your project.
Design the room
Olly will develop the layout and show you how the different elements work together.
This is where his Masterclass knowledge becomes particularly useful. The goal isn't just to make the kitchen fit. It's to find opportunities that make the room work harder and feel better.
Refine the details
We'll work through the design with you, adjusting the layout, finishes and specifications until everything feels right.
Installation and project support
We can manage our installation team and coordinate with other trades involved in your project. If you're using your own builder, we'll work with them on the kitchen details they need.
How Much Does a Masterclass Kitchen Cost?
There isn't a particularly useful single starting price because two Masterclass kitchens can have very different specifications.
The size of the room, amount of furniture, storage options, worktops, appliances, sinks, taps and installation requirements can all make a significant difference.
As a broad guide, many of our complete kitchen projects fall somewhere around £20,000 to £25,000, although we've supplied smaller furniture-only projects for under £10,000 and worked on considerably larger kitchens above £50,000.
A typical project might include:
- Kitchen furniture: around £10,000 to £18,000
- Installation: around £2,000 to £2,500
- Appliances: around £3,000 to £5,000
- Stone worktops: around £3,000 to £4,000
- Sink and tap: around £500
Building work, preparation and unusually large or complex specifications would be additional.
These figures are only a guide. We'd much rather understand your plans and tell you what is realistic than push you towards a package that doesn't suit your home or budget.
